Didactoon’s apps has been subject of study in a scientific research done by the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.

At Didactoons we are very happy to have taken part in research at the University of Alcalá which has shown that our apps help to improve performance in mathematics.

The work, carried out by doctoral María Rosario Rodríguez Cubillo, has studied the relationship between the use of mathematical applications and performance in mathematical calculation in primary school students. For her research she has collected data from four public primary schools with more than 500 students between the ages of 6 and 11.

During the time of the research, the students had four Didactoons educational applications installed: Monster Numbers, Dino Tim, MathLand and Math Battles on their individual tablets.

The last 15 minutes of the maths classes, three times a week, used the apps to evaluate their performance through a battery of EVAMAT tests. These tests are an instrument for the Assessment of Mathematical Competence (García, García y González, 2011).

The provisional results obtained, which are in the process of being published in a scientific journal, indicate that the relation between the use of mathematical applications and the performance of mathematical calculation in primary students is SIGNIFICANT. The students that used educational applications had a HIGHER SCORE in the results.
